(CNN Spanish) - In presenting an action plan against the global expansion of the coronavirus, Chilean President Sebastián Piñera reported that 10 measures are being implemented, including coordination and collaboration between various ministries, citizenship information campaigns and preparation of the health system.
As part of this plan they established a preventive control for all travelers arriving in Chile in airports, ports and border areas. Piñera said he spoke with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to whom he requested authorization to send a delegation of Chilean experts and doctors to China to "learn from the experience of the country that has more experience in this area." He informed that this delegation will probably travel this weekend.
