A strong judicial dispute between the partners of the country's main appliance manufacturer, Newsan, unleashed a corporate scandal. The fight, which includes allegations of extortion, fraud and money laundering , is between Rubén Cherñajovsky, founder and main shareholder of Newsan, and Emilio Mazzola, his historical partner in the household goods business.
The conflict took flight because Mazzola owns 25% of the group that controls brands such as Siam, Sanyo, Philco, Atma and Noblex, and his son Juan Pablo denounced that Cherñajovsky and the group's CEO, Luis Galli, want to take them out of the company , making them renouncing the force and promoting a hostile purchase supported by an accusation - false, according to the Mazzola - of having stolen a thousand refrigerators from the Pilisar factory.
In the criminal complaint, which fell to the federal court of Julián Ercolini, Mazzola Jr. says: “I am being extorted by Galli and the remaining denounced, who claim that my disengagement is giving money in exchange for not inventing causes by which he claims to have all arranged for my detention. "
As a result, the Mazzola denounced fraudulent emptying operations by Cherñajovsky, which would have been carried out via China in the last three years of Cristina Kirchner's government and for an amount of at least USD 35 million.
What the complainants affirm, according to Infobae, is that the millionaire deviations were made to private accounts in Uruguay and Switzerland and were made through a mechanism that included import with surcharges - using commercial dollars - while the Chinese supplier would have reintegrated the differences to through offshore accounts.
Always according to the complaints, Cherñajovsky tried to hold assemblies to remove the Mazzola from the board and they responded with two criminal complaints for money laundering and extortion , who now investigates justice. Despite Clarin's several attempts to communicate with Newsan spokespersons, there was no response.

On October 31, President Alberto Fernández met with Cherñajovsky in the offices that the president has in San Telmo. There, the majority partner of the Newsan group confirmed that the company would begin to manufacture LG washing machines at its Avellaneda plant and that they planned a large investment of more than US $ 50 million to expand their food export business.
