The section between Oberau and Farchant is now also partially affected. “Backlogs can be expected during the work. We therefore recommend that all road users circumvent the area on a large scale and allow enough time for the journey, ”said a spokesman for the Southern Bavaria Motorway Directorate.
Road is narrowed
According to the authority, from Monday, March 9th to Friday, April 9th, there will be traffic problems due to work on the construction of traffic sign bridges for the safety technology of the new tunnel Oberau on the B2 between Farchant and Oberau. During this period, the road narrows in both directions and the speed is limited.
Traffic light in operation on weekdays
From Tuesday, April 14th to Thursday, April 30th, work on the construction of the traffic sign bridge in the north of Oberau will follow. Between the end of the motorway at Eschenlohe and Oberau - specifically in the area of the parking lot "Einfallene Wand". Traffic is alternately directed past the construction site on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at traffic lights. The work will be stopped on Friday due to the weekend traffic from 12 noon.
