LE FIGARO. - You asked for a 15-day postponement of Édouard Philippe concerning the examination of the text on pensions to await the conclusions of the financing conference. What did he say to you?
Gérard LARCHER. - I do not yet have the Prime Minister's final answer, but he has instructed the Minister of Relations with the Parliament to approach me to find a solution. It is a collective request expressed during the conference of presidents in the Senate. I simply ask that the rights of parliamentarians not be violated. We cannot vote on such an important text without the slightest idea of the financing of the measures. We are talking about 14% of GDP. The schedule set by the Prime Minister can be respected by accepting our request. We are ready to sit in July. In the Senate, all senators want a sincere and peaceful debate. So far, however, the rights of parliament have not been concretely respected.
