(CNN) - “No Time To Die”, the next James Bond movie, is being postponed to November due to concerns about the impact of the coronavirus on the world cinema market.

The release of the 25th movie in the lucrative Bond series was scheduled to hit theaters in North America on April 10, but MGM and Universal announced Wednesday that the movie would be delayed.

MIRA: This is how the countries of the world respond to the outbreak of coronavirus

"After careful consideration and a thorough evaluation of the world cinema market, the launch of 'No Time To Die' will be postponed until November 2020," the film's official Twitter account said on Wednesday.

Now it will hit US theaters on November 25. The film will be released in the United Kingdom on November 12.

The outbreak of coronavirus, which has caused more than 3,200 deaths worldwide, mostly in Asia, has forced the closure of theaters in Italy, Korea and China. China is the second largest movie market in the world behind the US UU.

"Like any other global company, we are looking at the market and trying to understand where the markets are down," a MGM spokesman told CNN Business. "A large percentage of cinemas around the world are not available for this movie."

The spokesman said that "it did not seem possible that the film reached its high level of success" in this market. "It was really an economic decision more than anything else," the spokesperson added.

"No Time To Die," which would become one of Hollywood's biggest box office hits in the spring, is the first major movie to change its premiere due to the coronavirus.
