(CNN Spanish) - Chile on Friday recorded a fifth case of a new coronavirus.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, it is a 58-year-old person who had contact with the third case reported in the country on Wednesday and who made the same trip in which one of the destinations was northern Italy.
According to the official note, the person was under epidemiological surveillance and on Wednesday he presented symptoms associated with a mild respiratory condition, so he consulted at a health center in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago.

He is in “good general health conditions” and was sent to his home where he will remain under epidemiological surveillance.
