The Netherlands reported on Friday the first death case in the country from the Corona virus. An 86-year-old, who contracted a virus a week ago, died this morning at the Rotterdam hospital. So far, 82 cases of virus infection have been reported in the Netherlands, and according to the World Health Organization, 80 and over are in the age group where the virus is most severely affected. They account for about 15% of deaths, even though their percentage among people infected is much lower.
The news agencies also reported today the first documented case of a Corona patient in the Vatican, after all the previous cases in the country turned out to be a false alarm. The Vatican confirmed the news and said they are now taking all possible steps, including extensive testing and massive disinfection, so the virus will not spread.
China, on the other hand, reports that for the first time since the Corona eruption, no new infestations have been recorded in the Hubei Province (other than the outbreak itself in Wuhan city) in the past day, indicating success in the isolationist and quarantine system taken by the Communist state. Several other cities across China, where no new infestation cases have been reported in the past month, have already announced that local schools will be back in full operation in the coming days.
