A fake Microsoft employee cleverly spied Internet data on a woman from Freising.
A 50-year-old from Freising received a call from a wrong Microsoft employee on Thursday. The stranger asked the woman to install the Teamviewer program on her cell phone and PC in order to perform remote maintenance after a hacker attack. The woman from Freising then gave the fraudster the access data for her Amazon and e-mail account. Then the man asked them to go to the nearest supermarket, buy value cards for the equivalent of 300 euros and give them the data. After the woman had bought the cards, the police thought it was strange and she ended contact with the perpetrator. In the meantime, the stranger had full access to her computer. Then the woman received a call - whether the same perpetrator is unknown to the police - whether she wanted to buy several "X-Boxes" through Amazon. The woman said no, blocked her Amazon account and disconnected the router. No damage is known so far.
