The Cairo Criminal Court today issued deterrent rulings on those accused in the case of the Misr train accident, which caused the death of 31 citizens and injured 17 others as a result of their negligence and breach of their duties.
According to the Egyptian Today's News portal, the court sentenced Alaa Fathi Abu Al Ghar to 15 years in prison and obliged him to pay about nine million pounds to the Railways Authority in compensation for the damages incurred and Ayman Al Shahat was punished with 10 years imprisonment, Ayman Muhammad, Samih Subhi, Yahya Saad Eddin, Adel Saif Youssef and Mustafa Abdul Hamid, the maximum imprisonment of 7 years.
Mahmoud Hamdi Tawfiq was also punished with 3 years imprisonment and a fine of 10 thousand pounds, Mahmoud Fathi and Musaad Rashad with 10 years imprisonment, Mr. Abu El Fotouh Youssef with 5 years imprisonment, Mahdi Mohamed Mahdi with 3 years imprisonment and Mohamed Abdel Aziz with two years imprisonment.
