In response to the new pneumonia epidemic, Cyberport has decided to change some of the courses of the "Cyberport Financial Workers' Fintech Training Program" to be conducted online and officially started today. Many financial institution practitioners have also participated. From March to May, the plan will arrange 8 online workshops. The training program is also the first major project of the Cyberport Academy established this year.

The online workshops to be held in the next 3 months will cover topics such as capital markets, payment platforms, digital asset management, virtual banking, open banking and application programming interfaces (APIs), and how financial institutions can collaborate with startups. Cyberport has also planned to launch physical courses after the epidemic has eased, including inviting well-known overseas fintech experts to come to Hong Kong to share global fintech development trends and strategies for digital transformation of financial institutions. The target audience also includes managers of financial institutions. Hope that Encourage them to promote digital transformation in corporate decision-making.

The entire training program is one year long and will provide 30 training programs. It is expected that the number of beneficiary financial practitioners will reach 2,000. Participants who complete the workshops can also obtain certificates awarded by Cyberport, and obtain continuous professional development (CPD) certification from the Hong Kong Institute of Banking, and continuous training (CPT) credits from the Securities and Futures Commission.
