The European Union disapproves of the " decision " taken by US President Donald Trump " unilaterally and without consultation " to suspend the entry of Europeans to fight against the coronavirus, the presidents of the Commission and the Council said on Thursday.

" The coronavirus is a global crisis, which is not confined to a continent and requires cooperation rather than unilateral action ," said Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel in a statement.
