"After consulting with our leading health experts, I have decided to take a number of urgent but necessary steps to protect the health and well-being of all American citizens," the president said in his speech, adding that the US would "re-evaluate" the restrictions its government had previously imposed on China and South Korea, the country with the second highest number of corona cases, as the situation has improved there in recent days, Trump has also stressed that the new conditions may pave the way for "early opening" of borders.
