E-car sharing is coming to Schöngeising soon. Similar to Grafrath, citizens should then have the opportunity to borrow an electric car by the hour.
Schöngeising– The local council recently decided in a closed session to lease a Renault Zoe and a charging station for two years. The location of the municipal electric car will be in the vicinity of the Heinrich Scherrer House. Here citizens can pick up the vehicle and use it for an individually selectable period.
First of all, you have to register once as a possible user by presenting your driver's license in the municipal contact point. "This is completely non-binding," emphasizes Mayor Thomas Totzauer (free voters). You can then reserve the vehicle via a booking portal on the Internet.
"As far as the tariff system is concerned, we will probably be guided by Grafrath," says Totzauer. There, the municipal electric car costs 2.50 euros per hour plus 25 cents for every kilometer traveled. The hourly rate is lower in the evenings and there is no basic fee. For Schöngeising, Totzauer can also imagine “a combination model of kilometers and time”. In addition, the city hall chief has low special rates for young people without a car and for senior citizens because the mobility of older citizens is to be promoted.
It is also possible that there are free hours of use for citizens who do not have a second car due to e-car sharing. The local council makes the final decision on the tariffs. Totzauer wants to present two or three alternatives for advice.
The electric car could be delivered at the beginning of April. It will be presented to the public as part of an information day. The municipality's partner is the Teilzeug company, located in the district of Starnberg, which takes care of the booking software and billing, among other things. The municipality costs the offer a total of 900 euros per month.
