Irmgard Freihoffer competes for Die Linke Regensburg as OB candidate. The teacher has been on the Regensburg City Council since 2008 and has been involved in topics such as transport and sustainability . She wants to curb the “rent madness” in Regensburg with her party - the previous support measures are “not suitable”. Regensburg should therefore “no longer sell a non-reproducible commodity such as land to investors, but cultivate it itself”.

Freihoffer also suggests on the subject that initially only cooperative and building owner associations should be allowed as private investors, "as long as there is no residential non-profit law at federal level". Unfortunately that was abolished in 1989. "It limited investors' profits and only allowed rent to cover costs," said the left-wing politician.

In addition, Freihoffer warns of a "significantly higher speed" in climate and environmental protection: "An ecological interim solution must not wait until the introduction of a light rail in 10-15 years." Regensburg must accelerate the expansion of photovoltaics and completely switch the street lighting to LED. However, she warns of the so-called Smart City due to concerns about data protection and possible threats to privacy.

As a real estate specialist, he can create living space as an OB, which is also affordable for low and middle incomes. In addition, investments must be made in schools and daycare centers.

Jakob Friedl , born in 1979, is running as the new OB Regensburg with the specially founded Kulturverein Ribisl-Partie eV . “I have been working as a political artist and activist with different means in non-art and public places in Regensburg for 20 years. It is always important to me to steady my art and to establish it in everyday life. The harassment of the city administration has persistently destroyed every little plant in the past few years. For example, the maypole was sawn around me, ”he emailed Merkur.de * .

Friedl continues: “I thought: what is as harmless as possible, as far as possible from art and politics, has enormous potential for multiplication and should not be mowed over: Ribisl! We want to make art more political and politics more artistic. Every inhabitant of this city should be able to get involved in self-chosen places. The participatory painting struggle of the Ribisl game provides a legally secure framework for placing self-painted posters as individual statements in public space. The painting battle center in the Ribislhaus is also a social art project . The most remarkable thing about the Ribisl game is that it exemplifies its cultural theme as a social organism in the district itself. ”
