The former boss of France Télévisions Patrick de Carolis arrived at the head of the first round of the municipal election in Arles, with more than 26% of the votes, before the heir of the outgoing communist mayor.
Patrick de Carolis, 66, claims "a social fiber" to "get the city out of the doldrums" and appeared at the top of an unlabeled list. Born in Arles, this television figure returned two years ago to this very large commune.
Behind him, Nicolas Koukas (44) takes second place with 21.16% of the vote. This elected representative from Arles for 18 years assured “embodying change”, despite his status as designated successor of the outgoing mayor, the communist Hervé Schiavetti.
In third position, Cyril Juglaret (LR) won 15.32% of the vote. The diverse left candidate David Grzyb is also in a position to maintain himself, with 10.30% of the votes cast.
