In Nantes, the outgoing socialist mayor, Johanna Rolland, leads the first round, with 31.3% of the votes cast. She is ahead of Laurence Garnier's LR list, at 19.9%, almost tied with Julie Laernoes, EELV candidate. The centrist list of Valérie Oppelt points to fourth position, with 13% of the votes.
