Since the educational system was shut down, Roy Katz had feared from Afula that the Corona's panic would cloud his 11th birthday. As part of a remote language lesson in the classroom, the educator asked Pazit Shoshan of his fifth-grade classmates at Beit Ze'ev School to express their feelings about the restoration of forced schooling.

"I shared that I have a birthday and it kind of sucks because I can't celebrate it with the class," the young Roy recalled. After his friends greeted him, the teacher sent a link to zoom in on an online lesson, but when Roy entered the app where he saw the faces of all his friends, he was surprised to find some holding hands and balloons in honor of his birthday. "I thought it had to do with distance learning," Roy says, "but then the teacher said, 'Guys I want to take this opportunity, because we can't celebrate in class, we will celebrate Roy here.' And then the whole class greeted me face to face. An experience that really excited me. Something good came out of this strike. "

But that wasn't the Katz family's only celebration this week. "The day was twice as exciting, I celebrated my dear son Roy's birthday, and in addition, for the third time this year, I had the opportunity to declare allegiance to the Knesset and start my path as a public envoy," said Roy's father, Ofir Katz, a Likud MK.
