Jamal, a restaurant owner in Damascus, pointed out that the obligation to close restaurants is an ethical and necessary duty to tackle the virus, pointing to the importance of cooperation with the government to implement the decision and commitment to stay at home.
SANA monitored the opinions of a number of citizens, where Karim Mark, a "shipping company employee," expressed his satisfaction with the decision to close restaurants, cafes and public parks, stressing that it is a necessary measure to address the virus as an advanced and precautionary step, while Osama Al-Nuri called for the necessity of commitment to everyone and not underestimating this virus and not leaving the house except Necessity and hygiene.
Nariman Bundagji, "a dentist's assistant," considered that sitting at home is aimed at personal protection, noting that the exit should be of the utmost necessity, while taking all necessary measures such as sterilization and avoiding gatherings as possible.
Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Baqi, a student at the University of Al-Qalamoun, indicated that closing restaurants and public parks contributes to preventing people from mixing, which is a temporary period, and that he is outside the home with the intention of buying books and some necessary things.
