Distance learning - only in high school: Due to the matriculation exams that will take place, distance learning in high school will continue throughout the period in which schools were shut down due to the corona eruption. The Local Government Center and the Teachers ’Organization announced that online schooling for upper-division students will not be canceled. Recall, however, teachers from elementary and middle schools have come out today (Thursday) for freedom, and distance learning is done only on a voluntary basis.

Today, the chairman of the local government center and the mayor of Modi'in Maccabim Reut, Haim Bibs, and the teacher's organization, Ran Erez, agreed to continue online learning for the division and high school students until the Passover holiday, for the preparation of students for the matriculation exams. Teachers' wages are paid in full and they go on summer vacation as usual. This is in contrast to the elementary and middle school teachers. In these institutions, teachers leave for today, 10 days before the scheduled date of the Passover holiday (31.3).

The March salaries will be paid to teachers in full, but will return for nine working days in July. Another day will be returned to Lag Ba'omer - assuming that the school returns in May, in case not, two school days will be returned in the next school year.
