Garmisch-Partenkirchen - A mountain hiker (17) was found dead in the Reintal on Friday afternoon. He had been missing since Thursday morning. Emergency services from the police and the Garmisch-Partenkirchen mountain rescue service discovered the youngsters about 150 meters below the Schützensteig and recovered them.
According to the current knowledge of the police, he fell from the climb into the vertical terrain and immediately died of his massive injuries.

The 17-year-old from Munich had already taken the train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen early Wednesday morning to take a hike from there to the Partnach Gorge. Since the pupil was no longer available on his mobile phone by evening, the parents reported to the police. The search measures with mountain guides and helicopters from the police and emergency services from the State Criminal Police Office were unsuccessful on Thursday. On Friday afternoon, the mobile phone could be located in the area of the so-called “ waterfall ”. A little later, the rescue workers found the dead.
