Munich - On March 15, 2020 , citizens of many counties in Bavaria voted for their candidate. However, in a good dozen cases, run-off elections are necessary because none of the nominees won an absolute majority of the votes. You will also find all results of the runoff election from 29.3. here.

In the following interactive map you can see which results of the regional elections in Bavaria have already been counted and published. The runoff election results also arrive on the second election Sunday as soon as they have been counted. There are several possible election outputs that we have prepared for you. For each result, it is noted whether one of the candidates was elected or whether a runoff was necessary. Representation of the election results of all counties in Bavaria

As soon as a result of the ballot * count is finally determined, the respective district area is shown in color. The color depends on the party affiliation of the winning candidate. If there was no winner in the first ballot, the runoff election was necessary and the district appeared dark gray on the map. The result will be updated automatically on March 29.

An individual coloring by party takes place for all parties that received at least 0.5 percent of the vote in the 2019 European election * in Bavaria. In all other cases, the color of the card is used in light pink. However, the result will also be shown in detail and with the full names of the candidates for the district administrator.

Operation of the interactive map

In the interactive map, you can click on each district to see the results. There are plus and minus buttons within the graphic for zooming. Alternatively, you can press the CTRL key and zoom with the mouse wheel. On smartphones and tablets, you can drag the view larger or smaller with two fingers.

Note: As soon as you update the article in the browser, the interactive choice card appears with the latest data. Due to the extremely large amount of data, it can take a few seconds for the view to be fully loaded with all results.
