Italy has surpassed the 10,000 deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, with 889 recorded in 24 hours, Civil Protection announced on Saturday March 28.

With 10,023 deaths, the peninsula is the most bereaved country in the world by this pandemic. It recorded a total of 92,472 cases, with a contagion which continues its slow slowdown: + 8.3% Thursday, + 7.4% Friday and + 6.9% this Saturday March 28.
