The government has previously enacted the Prevention and Control of Diseases (Prohibition of Group Aggregation) Regulation (Cap. 599G). Effective today (29th) at 00:00 am for a period of 14 days.
The Food and Health Bureau responded to the inquiry and stated that it had not issued a penalty notice for Chapter 599G. The police also responded that in the early stages of the implementation of the regulations, the public would be verbally explained, advised or warned to remind the public to cooperate with the requirements of the regulations.

No fine notice issued
The Food and Health Bureau stated that the Prevention and Control of Diseases (Prohibition of Group Aggregation) Regulation (Cap. 599G) empowers authorized personnel to inspect and disperse group aggregations, and the Government will arrange law enforcement and inspection operations appropriately. However, the Administrator has not issued a penalty notice for Chapter 599G for the time being.
The Board continued to point out that they hope to send a strong message to the public through legislative work, calling on citizens to discipline themselves in the next two weeks, reduce social activities such as going out and avoiding dinners or parties, and try to maintain an appropriate social distance with others.

Police: Early warning
The police also responded to inquiries and stated that in the early stage of the implementation of the regulations, they would use verbal explanations, persuasion or warnings to remind the public to cooperate with the requirements of the regulations, and also to prevent the spread of epidemics, and public awareness cooperation was more effective than law enforcement. The public is urged to comply with the new regulations, to cooperate immediately when facing police enforcement actions, and to remind everyone to cooperate.

FEHD advises 280 times
In addition, the government has earlier stipulated that from 6 pm on Saturday (28th), the dining room table must be 1.5 meters away, no more than 4 people can share the same table, and the game center, bathroom and other places must be closed.
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said that to this evening, the Department has inspected more than 3,200 catering establishments and made about 280 reminders (advisory nature). It mainly measures the body temperature of customers who have not entered the catering establishments, as well as dining tables. The distance between them does not comply with the regulations.
