The mayor of Moscow announced Sunday a general containment of the population from Monday, in an attempt to curb the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus in the Russian capital.
Muscovites will only be allowed to leave their homes to go to work, if necessary, for medical emergencies, to get supplies or go to a pharmacy, said mayor Sergei Sobianin in a statement.
