Africa, the Pacific, and even the Middle East • List of countries where not one case of fatal virus infection

While the corona virus is spreading around the world, there are countries in the Pacific, Asia and Africa where not a single case of the corona virus has been recorded. Of course, some places have to be skeptical of reporting failure, because these are war zones or countries with extreme totalitarian regimes. On the other hand, there are also places, especially small states, that simply imposed a total closure and managed to prevent the virus from reaching their gates in the meantime. The British Daily Star newspaper surveyed these countries and brought the complete list of places where life is still normal, but under a ban on entry and exit.

Pacific Island States

If there is one thing common to the countries of the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, Kiribati, Micronesia, Tonga, Marshall Islands, Palau, Tuvalu, and Nauru, then these are small island states, with a native indigenous population and very few entry options. Therefore, even paradoxically, the isolation of these countries, their dependence on the Australian continent for external contact with the world, has allowed local governments and governments to close the territory. So true, the local tribes have many other problems, but at least the corona has been spared them, for now.

Africa

It is no secret that most African countries will not be able to cope with epidemics alone, and their health care system is weak. But sometimes when you are aware of your weakness and take action on time, you can also save yourself from an epidemic. This is the case of Malawi, whose president, Peter Mutharika, simply took no risk and declared the Corona virus as a national disaster on March 23, imposing a hermetic closure in the 19 million-nation state. All the elementary and private schools and with them all the universities in the country - were closed. The president has disrupted all public activity in the state and banned 100-person gatherings. The drastic move proves itself in the meantime, and not a single carrier of the virus has been recorded in the state.

Burundi took no risk. From the 21st of the month it is impossible to enter or leave the country, and thus the regime prevented any revelation of the virus. Another African country that just closed everything, land, air, and blocked all contact with the world is South Sudan. The decision was made on the 23rd of the month and the security forces were instructed to disperse even with all the force. Thus, while in other African countries, the World Health Organization reports on carriers, these countries remain clean as of now.

Yemen and North Korea

Two other countries with no information on carriers are Yemen and North Korea. Yemen, torn by a bloody civil war that paralyzes the state and the closed dictatorship of North Korea. In relation to these countries, the World Health Organization is skeptical and estimates that information was simply not provided. With regard to North Korea, bordering China where the corona epidemic erupted, it is hard to believe that the virus did not reach the country. With regard to Yemen, the information may be true, but not for good reasons, but because of the total paralysis of this torn country.
