Coronavirus: more than 25,000 dead in Europe

The new coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 25,000 people in Europe, according to an AFP report from official sources at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

With a total of 25,037 deaths (for 399,381 cases), Europe is the continent hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Italy (10,779 deaths) and Spain (7,340) are the two most affected countries in the world and account for almost three-quarters of European deaths alone.
