Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and Minister of Health Olivier Véran will be heard at the National Assembly Wednesday by the fact-finding mission on the management of the coronavirus epidemic, we learned on Monday from a parliamentary source. The hearing by this mission, which aims to monitor each week the measures taken by the government and whose creation was validated last week at the Palais Bourbon, should start at 6 p.m., the same source.

The presidents of all political groups will be members of this mission " on the impact, management and consequences in all its dimensions of the epidemic ". It should be chaired by the President of the National Assembly Richard Ferrand (LREM). Several groups hope that the mission will be able to endow itself with the prerogatives of a commission of inquiry, some arguing that it should not be before the summer, or even the fall, because " the aim is to learn the lessons from the crisis " . The opposition also pleads in favor of a “ democratic balance ” with an opposition rapporteur.
