Eastern District Councillor (Xingmin constituency) Xie Miaoyi and his male assistant, approaching the early hours of Tuesday (March 31), reported being attacked by two men outside Xingmin Village, Chaiwan. The incident happened close to 0am today (31st). Police received a report from Xie Miaoyi, claiming that he was attacked by two men outside Minze House, Xingmin Village. She broadcasted live on Facebook and revealed that there were people gambling outside Minze House every day. At that time, she and the male assistant came to understand and found 6 people betting on poker. Two of the men rammed and frightened, while the other four fled. When a security guard intervened, he reminded the party that no more than 4 people could be accused of being scolded by 2 people.

It can be seen from the live broadcast that the two middle-aged men kept yelling and yelling, saying, "I vote for one!" One of them yelled at "dead away!" And shot against a security guard. Until the police arrived, the man kept clamoring. Xie Miaoyi suspected that she was too frightened, and the sound of sobbing and panting continued to appear in the clip. Others kept calming, "You shout, calm down!"

Ms. Xie Miaoyi and his male assistant both had to be sent to the hospital afterwards. Xu Zijian, a member of the Eastern District, and Zeng Jiancheng (Aniu) later went to the hospital to find out. Police were investigating at the scene. One of the men was later detained; the other was initially released. The case is classified as a "normal attack" and the police are investigating the incident.

She later stated on Facebook that the gambling and smoking problems in Xingmin Village had not improved over the years, criticizing the police and the Housing Department for failing to enforce the law. She pointed out that this was not the first time she was intimidated. She had to scan the computer after she was sent to the hospital this time. Her emotions had not calmed down, and she said frankly that her hands were tight.

Ms. Xie Miaoyi, now 23, formed "mountainism" with several residents in 2016 to oppose the sale of shopping malls. Last year's 2019 District Council election, she participated in the election with the democratic candidate organization Election Alliance "Chai Wan Startup" in the form of "adult".
