She was suspected of being over-stunned and emotional. During the Facebook live broadcast, she continued to sob and pant, and needed to be comforted by others. It is understood that she and her assistant were present at the time of the incident to shoot a number of people suspected of illegal gambling. Both were required to be sent to the hospital for treatment afterwards; the police arrested a man.

The incident occurred close to 0am today (31st). Police received a report from Xie Miaoyi, claiming that he and his male assistant Chen (21) were attacked by two men outside Minze Building in Xingmin Village. She revealed on Facebook live broadcast that when she and her assistant found 6 people betting on poker, they shot "criminal evidence" on their mobile phones, but were pushed and intimidated by 2 men, and 4 others left. When a security guard intervened, he reminded the party that no more than 4 people could be accused of being scolded by 2 people.
It can be seen from the live broadcast that the two middle-aged men kept yelling and yelling, saying, "I vote for one!" One of them yelled at "dead away!" And shot against a security guard. Until the police arrived, the man kept clamoring. Xie Miaoyi suspected that she was too frightened, and the sound of sobbing and panting continued to appear in the clip. Others kept calming, "You shout, calm down!"
Ms. Xie Miaoyi and his male assistant both had to be sent to the hospital afterwards. Xu Zijian, a member of the Eastern District, and Zeng Jiancheng (Aniu) later went to the hospital to find out. After investigation by the police, it was believed that the persons involved and others disputed because of the shooting problem, and Assistant Chen Man was suspected of being attacked by hand. Police arrested a man with a surname of Ho (69 years old) for suspected "ordinary assault"; another man was reportedly released initially.
Xie Miaoyi later stated on Facebook that the problem of gambling and smoking in Xingmin Village has not improved over the years, criticizing the police and the Housing Department for failing to enforce the law. She pointed out that this was not the first time she was intimidated. She had to scan the computer after she was sent to the hospital this time. Her emotions had not calmed down, and she said frankly that her hands were tight.
Ms. Xie Miaoyi, now 23, formed "mountainism" with several residents in 2016 to oppose the sale of shopping malls. Last year's 2019 District Council election, she participated in the election with the democratic candidate organization Election Alliance "Chai Wan Startup" in the form of "adult". All 12 people in the alliance won, and she defeated the DAB's Liu Qingyang.
