The Slovak Communist Party confirmed its support for Syria in its demand to lift unilateral coercive measures imposed on it in order to be able to tackle the Corona virus and protect its people.
The party’s deputy leader, Jalal Suleiman, described in an article published on the party’s website that the West continues to impose its unilateral coercive measures on Syria while it addresses the threat of the spread of the Corona virus as a “cynical and sadistic summit”, stressing that these coercive measures are “illegal” .
Suleiman said that "while the world is searching for solutions to stop the spread of the Corona virus, the West continues to work in its inhumane ways in international relations towards Syria, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba and others, which complicates the process of these countries' struggle against the Corona virus."
