Munich - There is not much news in this corona crisis * that puts a smile on our faces. But the story of an 8-year-old boy from Munich may have at least made his neighbors happy. Because the boy apparently did not want to celebrate his 8th birthday alone.
But due to the exit restrictions throughout Bavaria and Germany , he is not allowed to invite his friends. He posted this to his neighbors with a notice: “Unfortunately, my birthday party with my friends is canceled. Still, I don't want to eat my cake alone, ”the boy writes on a piece of paper.

Without further ado, he therefore invites his neighbors to his birthday cake - but of course in compliance with the current rules. Because personal contact is not allowed. The boy therefore has an idea:

"If you feel like it, I would like to bring you a piece of cake". And so that everyone gets enough, little notes hang on the letter. The neighbors were then allowed to write down how many pieces of cake they would like. You should then throw the note into the mailbox - if the whole cake didn't get away.

The users on Instagram were obviously happy about the boy's warm action . "We need more such warm messages," writes a user. Another user is thinking of the connection with an April Fool's joke. "April April," he comments on the letter.
But April fools are not particularly suitable in this tense situation. Markus Söder agrees. Because an April Fool's Day apparently backfired.
