Wolfratshausen - All events are canceled, people are encouraged to stay at home. Nevertheless, Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner invites you to a construction committee meeting on Wednesday, April 8th.

Building committee meeting causes disagreement with city councilor

This causes discontent with the city councilor Claudia Drexl-Weile (CSU). She is already announcing her absence. In an e-mail to the town hall chief, she reminded of "clear recommendations" from the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior - and appealed to the mayor's sense of responsibility.

"Limit meetings to the minimum necessary"

As Drexl-Weile writes, "Sessions should initially be limited to the absolutely necessary minimum". The state government also recommended that the municipalities install a so-called vacation committee by the end of April.

This could "do all the tasks for which the local council or a committee is otherwise responsible". If the session takes place as planned, Drexl will be missing for a while: "I am already taking the consequences and ask for your understanding that I apologize for the session for health reasons."

In fact, the session will take place. As town councilor Heilinglechner, who was recently elected for his second term, explains in an interview with our newspaper, the reason is the nature of building applications. If these are not dealt with by the responsible body - in this case the construction committee - within three months, they are legally considered to be accepted.

The mayor makes it clear: a meeting is necessary

The meeting was necessary because no committee met in May. "We will be very careful to ensure that only the items that are necessary are placed on the agenda," Heilinglechner assures. No further committees or even the entire city council are to be convened in the foreseeable future.

His approach was coordinated with the legal department of the district office. Here too, according to Heilinglechner, there is "no need to call a vacation committee as long as all the requirements of the Robert Koch Institute are met". This is assured: “The ten councils will keep a minimum distance. Only ten visitors are admitted to the grandstand, who are also separated by at least one and a half meters. ”

Approach coordinated with the district office

The head of the town hall also communicated all this to the CSU councilor. Drexl-Weil took note of it - and sticks to it. The city sees it as its responsibility to set an example and to implement the guidelines accordingly. After all the back and forth of text messages, Drexl-Weile comes to the conclusion: "Out of a sense of responsibility, I ask for your understanding if I stick to my cancellation for participating in the session."
