Foreign Minister Israel Katz is working to return to Israel residents of dual citizenship, due to the outbreak of the Corona disease, the Israel Today was informed on Thursday. According to the minister, several dozen Israelis who also hold Moroccan citizenship and live in the North African country, who fear the outbreak of the virus, have applied to the Foreign Ministry for assistance in returning to Israel.

Minister Katz addressed the request, saying: "I have received inquiries from the Jewish community in Morocco to help them arrive in Israel." The minister also added that he instructed the Foreign Ministry members "to give them whatever assistance they need to arrive in Israel, while adhering to all the rules necessary to maintain public peace in Israel."
Bringing Jews from Morocco will be added to a long line of rescue operations conducted by foreign ministry officials in Israel and around the world over the past two weeks, with the goal of helping thousands of Israelis return to Israel. At this stage it is not yet clear whether they will be brought on a commercial flight, or on a private flight organized by themselves.
According to data released by the Rabat Ministry of Health yesterday, in Morocco, there were 654 cases of corona infection and 39 deaths, most of them in the north of the country. State residents have been in closure since March 20. At this time, the closure should be removed on April 20, but it may be extended according to circumstances.
In recent weeks, the Foreign Ministry has been working to bring Israelis back into Peru, and in India and yesterday, Jews from the United States arrived on a special flight - even though they do not have Israeli citizenship. It should be noted that all returnees to Israel are being isolated for the purpose of preventing the spread of the virus in Israel
