Kazakh President Qasim Gomart Tokayev assured today that his country is ready to organize the next meeting in Astana formula on settling the crisis in Syria.
A statement issued by the media office of the Kazakh presidency, according to Sputnik news agency reported that "President Tokayev confirmed during a phone call with the President of the European Council Charles Michel that Kazakhstan is ready to host the next Astana meeting on the settlement of the crisis in Syria."
The Astana meetings began in the Kazakh capital early in 2017 and held thirteen meetings, one of which was in the Russian city of Sochi and affirmed in its entirety the firm commitment to preserve the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Syria and to continue the war on terrorist organizations there until it was finally defeated.
