The new book follows the first in the series, released last year and titled "The Wizenard Series: Training Camp."
Kobe Bryant worked with writer Wesley King on his imaginary series, which follows the West Bottom Badgers, a basketball team in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, who are helped by the experience and magic of their coach, Professor Wizenard.
The NBA star spoke to Barnes & Noble last year about the first book.
"It's a mix of two of my passions: sports and fantasy storytelling," said Bryant. “I am a voracious reader and a great admirer of Harry Potter. So it was natural for me to see it from that perspective. "
He also said that Gianna's high school basketball team had read the opening novel, and that they loved it.
“His first reaction was about the book in general. They think it's beautiful! ”Said Bryant. "The appearance is very different from many other children's books, so they responded very positively. As for the story itself, they enjoyed the format, which gives them a window into the perspectives of the five main characters. ”
Bryant's professional activities extended far beyond the basketball court. In addition to the book series, he won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film for "Dear Basketball," based on a poem he wrote.
