The right-wing party attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tonight (Thursday), threatening to join the party to promote anti-corruption laws, which should prevent Netanyahu from serving as prime minister. This comes in light of reports of progress in the Likud-Blue negotiations and the right-wing party's push for more marginal positions in the planned government.

"We are not part of Netanyahu and Gantz's game of chairs," he said in a right-wing message, "for a week now that Netanyahu has been negotiating alone, with no partner in the past year. If Netanyahu has sold everything that matters to the right, we have no intention of being a fig leaf in the left-wing government that sells the Justice Department, eliminates sovereignty, repeals the Kaminitz Law and more.

"The right will advance its values ​​in government or in the Knesset. Eretz Israel, the judicial system, the Jewish identity of the state, the free market, the war on corruption, and more. Whoever signs the dissolution of the block is Netanyahu," the party's statement said. The reference to the fight against corruption is, as mentioned, an implied threat on the part of the party to join the efforts there is to advance the laws that are supposed to prevent those who are indicted from serving as prime minister and forming a government.

Remember, progress is being made today in the negotiations between Likud and Blue and White. Among other things, Blue and White are interested in defense, justice and education files - with two of them, Defense and Education, now held by Knesset members on the right, Defense Minister Naftali Bennett and Rabbi Rafi Peretz. Lapid rejected the right-wing message, saying that "war on corruption is not a political commodity and does not depend on the job offered to you. Corruption is not 'fighting from within.' If you are inside, you are part of it."
