Now band mate Robert Görl has told 2 first details in an interview with the radio station Bavaria. As a result, Delgado died of a heart attack or the consequences of a circulatory breakdown. Görl learned of the terrible news at the breakfast table: “It was like a slap in the face. On Monday I turn on my cell phone for breakfast when Jane, Gabi's wife, sent me a text message from Portugal: 'Robert, please call me back, Gabi died last night.' I couldn't think of anything else , I was speechless . ”
The musician lived with his wife in the country in Portugal. There the couple is said to have lovingly looked after a small house and a garden with vegetable beds and flowers. One day before the death, the singer is said to have passed out in front of his wife's eyes while gardening. "He had a kind of heart attack or circulatory breakdown," says Görl .
