As Mayor Thomas Holz reports, a “Committee for Emergency Times” has been set up. The Interior Ministry is now paving the way for such a committee. This emergency committee is possible if all members of the municipal council agree. Agreement was obtained, reports Holz.
The emergency committee corresponds to the composition of the main committee and consists of the members of the seven Kochler municipal council groups plus the mayor. It will meet for the first time on Wednesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in the town hall. Visitors are not admitted, only the press.
All community council members agree
The focus of the short session is on a “community aid package in times of the corona pandemic”. Wood is about waiving rents and leases. However, he could not make the decision alone, but needed a municipal council decision. They also want to talk about tax deferrals for local businesses and companies and about the tourism contribution.

The emergency committee should only deal with urgent questions, explains Holz. According to local law, this is “completely new territory”. He believes that convening a “normal” meeting is negligent: A municipality has a role model function even in times of exit restrictions, and the health of municipal council members and administrative staff is also not to be jeopardized. That is why there is no session in the hall of the “Heimatbühne”.
