Clear 295 unauthorized posters

The FEHD's written reply stated that it has been paying close attention to the display and posting of posters in various districts, and has worked with relevant departments to clean up unauthorized posters posted on public land on government land through joint operations. Placards with permission.

According to the Department, from June last year to February this year, a total of 950 joint operations were carried out, clearing 295 locations with unauthorized display or posting of posters in all districts of Hong Kong. Up to 126 times; followed by Tuen Mun District and Sha Tin District, 88 times and 76 times respectively, and the minimum number of cleanups was Tai Po District, 12 times.

The FEHD also pointed out that the number of fixed penalty notices issued for unauthorized display of posters or posters in the past three years was 3,169, 3,714 and 3,647, respectively. Last year, there was no increase in prosecution staff.

From June to December last year, the FEHD issued 2,000 fixed penalty notices. According to the district councils, the most three districts are Kwun Tong, Yuen Long and Sham Shui Po in sequence, with 447, 228 and 208 respectively. The least is the North District, with only 11.
