France today recorded more deaths from the Corona virus, while the toll rose again in Italy after recording the lowest number of deaths yesterday in two weeks.
In France, Minister of Health Olivier Ferrand announced in a statement quoted by France Presse that the total deaths from the new Corona virus rose to 8911, including 833 cases in the past 24 hours, explaining that among the additional deaths, 605 cases were in hospitals, while the rest were in nursing homes and social medical centers.
According to the French minister, the daily number of patients who had intensive care treatment decreased to 94, the lowest rate since the imposition of the closure measures on the 17th of last March.
In Italy, the Civil Protection Authority stated that the daily death toll from the Corona virus has resumed, with 636 deaths recorded, a day after it fell to its lowest level in two weeks, while the number of deaths reached 525, bringing the total to 16,523 deaths.
In Italy, the number of HIV infections has exceeded 132,000, while Lombardy remains the worst affected area of Covid 19, with 9,202 deaths and more than 51,000 infections.
In turn, the Turkish authorities announced that the number of deaths from the Corona virus rose 75 cases to reach 649 the number of new confirmed infections 3148 to reach the total number of patients 30217 while the Ministry of Health in Singapore announced the registration of 66 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of infections to 1375.
In Egypt, the Ministry of Health announced 149 new cases of coronavirus and 7 deaths, bringing the total number of infected to 1322 and the total number of deaths to 85.
In Kuwait, the government decided to completely isolate the occupied Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh regions and extend the curfew period for an additional two hours, in addition to extending the suspension of all ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions, as a precaution for an additional two weeks until the 26th of this month.
In Morocco, the Ministry of Health announced 11 new deaths from the Corona virus, bringing the total to 80, while the number of infections reached 1120.
In a related context, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanoum Gebresos, warned that the use of masks alone is not sufficient to overcome the outbreak of the Corona virus, condemning the proposals he described as "racist" calling for Africa to use a field of testing for a possible vaccine against the virus.
