London - Once she was in front of the camera with Sean Connery and shot the James Bond classic "Goldfinger" . Now Honor Blackman is dead. The actress died in the South of England at the age of 94, her family announced the death of the London newspaper Guardian.
Her career began in 1948 when Dr. Catherine Gale in the British television series "The Avengers" (German: "With umbrella, charm and bowler hat") first became known to a broader TV audience. By 007 she finally became world famous.

Blackman had learned to fight back early. "When I was ten or eleven years old, I knocked down two boys who harassed my younger brother," she once told the telegraph . "I can't stand nasties." How quick-witted she was was demonstrated not least by Pussy Galore . It was a no-brainer to put Bond on the cross, she wrote on her website, and later told Saga Magazine : “Of course I raved about Sean, he was the sexiest man I've ever met. He was Mr. Universe, with a body to die for, those eyes that sparkled and had a royal amusement. ”

She was born on August 22, 1925 in a rundown area of East London. The father was violent and hit her. "She died peacefully and a natural death in her Sussex home, surrounded by her family," the Guardian said in a statement. "Honor was not only a beloved mother and grandmother, but also an extremely talented and successful actress," wrote her adoptive children and grandchildren.
Blackman was married twice. With her second husband, the British actor Maurice Kaufmann, she adopted two children (Barnaby and Lottie). "Beauty, reason and physical abilities" met "a unique voice and a real work ethic", the Guardian continues.
Meanwhile, there are two actors mourning in the United States. Mark Blum and Andrew Jack are dead. Both died of a corona infection.
