Since the start of the coronavirus health crisis, many “fake news” have been circulating on social networks. Now they are invited on television sets. A lunar sequence was broadcast on C8 Monday April 6 (removed from the channel's "replay"). Cyril Hanouna has unveiled a map of France which announced the dates of the deconfinement by region. The presenter explains having received it by “text” and admits not knowing if it is an official document or a forgery. What does it matter: "I don't know if this is good information, but it is an information that turns so I am giving it to you, an information that I received" , he explains, on the music of the Miss France program.
"It makes no sense !"
"Everything is wrong," quickly commented the Directorate General of Health (DGS) to Liberation Monday evening. "It makes no sense !" , also annoyed a minister questioned by Le Parisien following the broadcast. This famous card had already turned on social networks during the day and had been relayed on Twitter by Jérôme Rodrigues, emblematic figure of "yellow vests".
The Hauts de France prefecture also assured that it was a forgery, and asked on Twitter not to "relay" this card.
Inconsistencies in the choice of logos
The authenticity of this card was however easily verifiable. The institutional logos - which give an official side to the document - demonstrate the deception. On the map, it is indeed indicated that the "forecast of deconfinement" was thought by the DRAC, namely the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs. However, the body is not concerned with the management of the coronavirus epidemic. Another example - even more obvious: the “Ministry of Defense” logo appears at the bottom of the map. However, this ministry no longer exists since 2017 and has been replaced by the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
For the time being, Edouard Philippe has simply raised the hypothesis of a gradual deconfinement. "It is likely that we are not moving towards a general and absolute deconfinement at once, everywhere and for everyone , " he said last Wednesday before the fact- finding mission to the National Assembly, emitting the idea of a " deconfinement which would be regionalized". Nothing more as is.
