Former Chief Rabbi Eliyahu Bakshi Doron is in Corona and was admitted to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. His condition is easily defined, but because he is suffering from various diseases he is at high risk. The 79-year-old rabbi was diagnosed yesterday after several members of his family also got the virus.

A source close to Rabbi said: "Blessed is his condition is good and good. He is in an easy condition now, but in light of the illness in the background it can develop quickly."

Rabbi Bakshi Doron was the Spanish Chief Rabbi from 1993 to 2003. Prior to that, in 1970 he was appointed to the neighborhoods of Ramat Hanassi and Ramat Yosef in Bat Yam. In 1972, he was appointed Spanish Chief Rabbi of the city. He was also the Chief Rabbi of the city of Haifa, where he served as rabbinate for 18 years. His election in 1993 to the "Rishon LeZion" post was made with the support of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
