IDF Announces Extent of Corona Crisis Relief • Today 118,000 Foods Have Been Distributed • So Far Over 10,000 Blood Donations Donated

The IDF (Tuesday) is publishing data on the military's assistance in the civilian area as part of the Corona virus fight.

During the past week, approximately 1,610,000 food packages were packed for holiday and weekend food by IDF soldiers. The packages include dry products, vegetables and fruits and toilet paper.

18,000 IDF soldiers and commanders have joined the fight in Corona, continuing to assist in civilian missions as needed. Today, assistance began at geriatric institutions across the country. About 40 educational frameworks are operated by the Education and Youth Corps and provide support for children from medical teams across the country. About 20 more frames will open in the deadline.

About 8,000 requests to the Home Front Information Center were counted on Tuesday. In addition, about 25,000 applications to the National Center for Civil Aid have so far been counted.

So far, 12 military-run hotels have been opened: eight of which are for housing and four for isolated housing. Four melons are for the ultra-Orthodox population. Currently, 1,044 patients and 578 are in isolation. The hotels are prepared for the holiday meals: At the Dan Panorama the guests are served a dinner of about 500 guests and in the Nir Etzion hotel for a holiday dinner of about 300 guests.

Also, by this time, 10,169 blood donations had been collected in the IDF.
