The number of intensive care patients now stands at 3,792 (-106 in 24 hours) and the increase in contagions fell to only + 2.3%, which did not prevent the Italian authorities from launching new calls to be careful and respect the rules of containment, which are in force at least until April 13. " Beware of optical illusions, dangerous mirages, we are far from the end of the crisis, of a hypothetical H hour which will bring us back to the previous situation ", warned Tuesday the extraordinary commissioner of the Italian government for the coronavirus, Domenico Arcuri, at a press conference.

No " insane optimism ", even if " the balance sheet (...) contains data showing a first partial reversal of the trend. After hard weeks of sacrifice, it is certainly a breath of fresh air, ”he continued. Concerning the wearing of protective masks, " I believe that for a long time many of us, if not all, will have to get used to using this protective instrument ". " We will have to get used to considering masks as a useful, even necessary, device, " he insisted.
