As of this Wednesday, April 8, at midnight, travelers entering French territory are required to have a certificate, announced Tuesday the Interior Minister. A measure that is part of the state of health emergency to combat the spread of Covid-19.
Three different certificates have been posted on the ministry's website:
> for a trip from abroad to mainland France,
> for a trip from abroad to an overseas community
> for a trip from mainland France to the French overseas territories.
"If you are traveling from abroad to an overseas community, a health check will be carried out on your arrival. It may give rise to placement in quarantine in a dedicated structure or at home", specifies the ministry of Inside in a message posted on Twitter.

The first two forms offer three traveler profiles :
> a national of French nationality.
> third-country national
> nationals of European Union countries and the like (United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, Switzerland, San Marino, Holy See)
The former can be authorized to enter the territory without any reason being asked. For the other two cases of nationals, travelers must meet one of the following conditions :

> have their main residence in France and their spouses and children
> be in transit to join his family, be a health professional to fight covid-19
> be a transporter of goods, including seafarers
> be a crew of passenger and cargo flights arriving at their departure base
> be staff of diplomatic missions or international organizations
> be a border worker at internal land borders.
The form for traveling from mainland France to the Overseas Territories offers three possibilities to be specified: the "overriding personal or family reason", that of "emergency health" or the "professional reason that cannot be deferred ".
The forms are in the same form as the derogatory travel certificates in force for the French. They are also available in French.
