Moscow-Sana

Russia today renewed its condemnation of the work of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in Syria, confirming its gross violations of the fundamental principle of its work in its new "untrustworthy" report on Syria.

The press office of the Permanent Representation of Russia to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said: The rulers who indicted Syria about events in 2017 were based on the provisions of the Truth Commission, which included blatant violations of the basic principle of the organization's work that requires the logical sequence of events when collecting and preserving physical evidence.

The Russian Permanent Representative stressed that the current accusations issued by the rulers of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in their report are not worthy of any confidence, explaining that the new report is based on investigations conducted remotely without visiting the places of the alleged events and is based on the statements of representatives of terrorist organizations in Syria and the so-called "White Helmets" organization. “Terrorist.

The Representative noted that the technology used in the organization did not bother to take into account the legitimate concerns of the member states of the organization, including Russia, which expressed its dissatisfaction with the manipulation and tricks about the events that occurred in the city of Douma in April 2018.

Last December, the British Daily Mail revealed several documents proving that the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons had tampered with the final report on the alleged chemical attack in Douma in April of 2018 and made significant changes to the evidence of field investigators, noting that a senior official in the organization had ordered the concealment of an important document It undermines the organization's allegations that the Syrian Arab Army used chemical weapons.

In turn, Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Russian State Duma Leonid Slutsky said that Russia's repeated warnings of turning the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons into a platform for settling political accounts have unfortunately turned into a fait accompli today.

Slutsky condemned in a statement today the organization's report, which includes accusations of Syria of events that took place three years ago, stressing that this matter is not permissible at all, because the attribution committee did not rely upon the issuance of its decision on arguments, evidence and factual investigations as it was required by the common sense.

Slutsky added: But the report released today talks about events that took place a year before the formation of the aforementioned support committee, recalling previous accusations similar to the ones called by the so-called "White Helmets" organization, but it was not able to prove these accusations and show that the allegations that Syria was using chemical weapons were Fabricated plays.

It is reported that a leak of an official in the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons revealed in March that the organization's management had launched a malicious and flawed attack against two veteran inspectors that had proven incorrect to the organization's official account of the alleged chemical attack in Douma in 2018 and the accusation of the Syrian Arab Army in it to justify the American-British-French aggression against Syria at that time.
