Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Verchinin discussed in a telephone conversation with the Senior Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Haji the developments of the situation in Syria and the political solution to the crisis in it.
In a statement today, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Virchinin and Asghar Hajji discussed during the call humanitarian measures to combat the Corona virus, as well as the Syrian-led political process themselves under the auspices of the United Nations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that the two sides discussed work to spread stability in Yemen, as well as efforts to solve urgent humanitarian issues, including by the United Nations.
