[Fatal accident] Man passing by on Tai Po Highway was rushed to hospital by private car and died after being rescued

At about 10:00 tonight (9th), a section of the Sha Tin Ling section of Tai Po Highway headed towards Sham Shui Po. When a man crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing, he was hit by a black private car driving at a high speed. Stop at 40 meters. Sustaining serious injuries, the man was rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital. After rescue, he died. According to on-site news, the accident occurred while crossing the road after parking in a nearby parking lot. After the incident, the front of the private car and the roof windshield were severely damaged. The injured shoes, insoles, watches and a large pool of blood were left at the scene. The driver involved was taken back to the police station to assist in the investigation.
