Afghanistan sinks into the Covid-19 epidemic and widespread chaos

A Taliban delegation went to the Afghan capital ... But, after a week of dissension, the Taliban abruptly left the meetings on Tuesday. Two days earlier, they had already threatened to cancel the agreement after American strikes against their positions. This aborted attempt to exchange prisoners is another blow to Washington, more eager than ever to put an end to a costly and unpopular war, which national emergencies are relegating to the bottom of the political agenda. The United States is the country most affected by Covid-19.
